Chrissy O’Grady Martin

Chrissy O’Grady Martin is the Reptile Family’s mom and the engine that drives the train. Everyone who contacts the Reptile Family initially talks to Chrissy, and will often meet her in person. Chrissy worked her way through UCLA as a child care provider, and Kids’ Birthday Party Event Coordinator. She became a teacher in 1977 (from preschool programs thru college courses) and is also a painter and illustrator of children’s books. She earned her Master’s Degree in Art in 1990. Reptiles were a lifelong interest. She got her first turtle when she was two. When she met Joe Martin in 1991, their combined talents and interests in art and animals led to a perfect union, and the Reptile Family was born.
